Buying Advertising Space on Blogs

Blog marketing is powerful and effective but not everyone has the time or money to constantly update a blog, so what can you do? Well, one of the easiest methods is to buy advertising space on somebody else’s blog.
Google Placement Targeting
Google placement targeting is one way you can buy advertising space on blogs if you are using the Google AdWords program. Placement targeting allows you to choose those websites (or blogs) where you would like your ad displayed. You can search for blogs that relate to your target market and then enter their number into the placement targeting section under your new campaign or use Google’s placement targeting search feature to help you find those blogs that relate to your target market.
Approach Blogs Individually
Another way to buy advertising space on blogs is to actually approach the blogs themselves. Once again you will need to look for blogs that accept banner ads or other forms of paid advertising and then approach them to see whether they would be willing to run your ad and how much they would charge for this.
Pay for a Post
Google placement targeting and individually approaching blogs can usually get you a banner ad on these blogs, but what happens if you want to buy a text ad or post on someone’s website? There are a number of websites that offer a bidding process whereby you can pay blog owners to write a post for you that advertises your website and then their readers will read this post and be able to visit your website. You can determine which blogs you pay to write posts for you by how many visitors they receive, their target markets, etc.
If you don’t own a blog or even if you simply want to receive more blog advertising then you may want to buy advertising space on blog by using Google placement targeting, approaching individual blogs for banner ad space, or by paying someone to write a post for you on their blog if it targets the right market and gets enough traffic.
